Amy joins Maiju Pohjola of Meru Health (SF, Denver, Helsinki) for a lively discussion about how yoga can help support our personal and collective mental health.

Register free for a LIVE, experiential talk on Zoom
Wednesday, August 25  10am PT/1PM ET

We are all aware of the scope of the mental health crisis right now, and the need for more effective and accessible treatment methods. While the importance of integrating movement into depression and anxiety treatments is becoming more mainstream, Amy has taught about yoga’s healing powers for nearly three decades. Amy will discuss her experiences with Annie Browning LIVE with Q & A.

In this live, experiential Zoom session Amy will tap into scientifically proven links between yoga and emotional well-being. She will guide us into adapting yoga to serve our clients with self-regulation tools that support their moods. She will cover the background and mechanisms behind yoga and mental health, integrating short practices, appropriate in clinical settings. Learn ways to shift mood with yoga – no mat needed!

To some of our clients, yoga may seem elitist or weird or just plain boring. How do we make simple yoga-based skills accessible, acceptable, and fun? We’ll discuss these topics and more:

✅ the benefit and process of meeting the mood.
✅ subtle changes in the language we use to give clients and students a stronger sense of agency in their lives.
✅ the benefits and process of integrating simple mudras, universal tones, accessible yoga breathing simple movement into psychotherapy practice.
✅ the process of co-creation in developing a take-home practice.
✅ Amy’s new card deck, just released from Sounds True, “Yoga for Your Mood: 52 Ways to Shift Depression and Anxiety.”

The conversation will be followed by a live Q & A,  August 25th @ 10am PT/1pm ET!
