Practices to Shift Depression and Anxiety
A Spring Reset at Kripalu.

Want a break from anxiety, stress and overwhelm? Join us in the Berkshires this Spring for a luscious four day program, as the lake begins to warm and the blooms begin to pulse with color. We will move, breathe, meditate, and connect together indoors and outdoors, weather permitting. Discover accessible practices that address anxiety and help to beat the blues without pretzel poses or extra flexibility.

Strip away the obstacles that keep you from knowing the joy beneath your mood and story.
Develop a practice that includes breathing exercises, easy postures, and guided meditations.

This program covers evidence-based yogic tools, designed to

  • Energize and elevate depressed moods
  • Relax and calm anxiety
  • Work with the chakra system
  • Bring balance to your emotional body.

Through experiential sessions, you will discover

  • Pranayama and kriya, breathing techniques, that regulate the emotions
  • Meditations that lift the mood and/or quell anxiety
  • Sankalpa, affirmations
  • Bhavana, guided visualizations
  • Mantras, tones, that deepen the experience
  • Mudras, hand gestures, that affect different areas of the chakra system and the body

LifeForce Yoga interweaves ancient disciplines with current scientific findings to help you release what no longer serves you and become the agent of your own healing. Amy’s techniques work to not only shift your mood but they may change your life. After experiencing firsthand the relief that yoga provides, Amy dedicated her career to helping others who suffer from mood disorders like depression and anxiety. Nearly twenty five years of research, thirty years of practice, and Amy’s recovery from a debilitating depression inform this protocol of evidence-based yoga practices.
